Offering the latest advances in marine satellite communications, the TracPhone V11-HTS is the world’s only maritime Ku/C-band, 1-meter VSAT system delivering worldwide speeds as fast as 20/3 Mbps, exclusive dual-channel configuration providing simultaneous high-speed and unlimited use data channels, and C-band for extreme weather and expanded global coverage including the Southern Pacific Ocean and high northern and southern latitudes.

IP-MobileCast Service – For Unmatched Content At Sea
Utilizing advanced multicasting technology, KVH’s IP-MobileCast content delivery service is the most economical and reliable way to bring movies, sports, world news, and news from home to crew members, and also meet vessel operational needs with chart delivers, weather information, and more. TracPhone V11-IP’s ICM belowdecks unit serves as the hub for receiving IP-MobileCast services on subscribing vessels; content can then be accessed by any onboard computer, set top box, or personal device.
Exclusive Technology
Developed by KVH specifically for the industry-leading mini-VSAT Broadband network, TracPhone V11HTS uses a 1.1 m-diameter antenna dish, in a 1.2 m-diameter antenna unit. The 3-axis gyro-stabilized maritime VSAT antenna with a 4th axis of automatic skew adjustment boasts an extended elevation range of -24° to 119° ensuring that the antenna tracks satellites from directly above the vessel to low on the horizon.
Integrated CommBox Modem (ICM)
TracPhone V11HTS’s streamlined belowdecks unit includes an IP-enabled antenna control unit, built-in CommBox Network Manager, ArcLight spread spectrum modem, VoIP, Ethernet switch, and Wi-Fi capabilities all in one 2U box for faster, trouble-free installations and user experience.
ArcLight® Technology
KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband network takes a revolutionary approach to maritime satellite communications to maximize data and voice throughput while preventing interference to adjacent satellites. The network is based on ViaSat’s ArcLight Code Reuse Multiple Access (CRMA) spread spectrum technology, which significantly reduces contention issues, transmission delays, and offers more consistent speeds and shorter ping times resulting in faster web page loads compared to traditional Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology relied upon by other VSAT networks.
IP-MobileCast Service – Innovative Multicasting Solution
KVH’s IP-MobileCast content delivery service uses advanced multicasting technology to deliver content “over the top” of the mini-VSAT Broadband network, taking advantage of unused network capacity without impacting the vessel's data speeds or airtime plans. IP-MobileCast uses proprietary software and patented Forward Error Correction (FEC) technology that provides advanced error correction, compression, and validation of data integrity throughout the transmission from shore to ship for reliability and efficiency.
