CYPHO-150S AIS Receiver

The AMEC CYPHO-150 (any CYPHO-150 model) is an AIS receiver. It receives AIS navigation data from AIS-equipped vessels nearby and the data is utilized to improve navigation safety. CYPHO-150 is designed to inter-operate with AIS Class A or Class B transponders, or any other AIS station operating on the AIS VHF data link.

FEATURES:

• Dual-channel parallel AIS receivers

The CYPHO-150S includes two AIS receivers operating in parallel providing true dual-channel simultaneous reception of both Class A and Class B transponder signals. This ensures that all AIS transponder broadcasts are captured in real time.

• Viewer program included

The CYPHO 150S includes a free Windows-based AIS viewer program to display Radar View and Alphanumeric information about AIS targets.

• Versatile interface selection

NMEA0183 (RS422) and USB provide connections for a wide range of display devices. This unit can also be powered by the USB port or via the 12vDC power wires.

• Robust USB chipset and device drivers

Rock solid Microchip Technology USB chipset with device drivers for current 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows and fully compatible with marine navigation software such as Coastal Explorer.

• CYPHO-150S comes with integrated VHF antenna splitter

The CYPHO-150S comes with an integrated VHF antenna splitter. This simplifies installation by allowing you to safely share a single VHF antenna for both the AIS receiver and your VHF radio. This solution works with any VHF radio. When you are not transmitting on the radio, both the AIS receiver and the radio receive normally. When you transmit on the radio, the integrated splitter temporarily blocks the signal to the AIS receiver and protects the AIS receiver from the transmission power of the radio.
